Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the FiAmanila website and web application (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform definition and legal identity

FiAmanila is owned and operated as a registered sole trader business in the United Kingdom. It is an independent, browser-based financial management and record-keeping software tool designed explicitly to help self-employed freelancers and sole traders organise their operational workflows.

2. Professional disclaimers (what we are not)

FiAmanila is strictly an organisational tool. FiAmanila is NOT:

• A bank or financial institution.
• An accountant or bookkeeping firm.
• A tax adviser, legal adviser or investment adviser.
• An insurance broker.

The content, automated tax calculators and reports generated by the Platform are for informational and record-keeping purposes only. They do not constitute formal professional financial, tax or legal advice. You use this Platform entirely at your own risk.

3. User responsibilities and HMRC compliance

• Accuracy of data: you remain solely responsible for ensuring that all financial figures, income records and expense entries you enter are accurate and lawful.
• User-driven reports: any reports, breakdowns or tax estimates generated by the Platform depend entirely on the data you provide.
• No direct HMRC filing: FiAmanila does not connect to, link with, or submit returns to HM Revenue and Customs. You remain fully responsible for reviewing, verifying and submitting your own Self Assessment tax returns or statutory filings.

4. Invoices and financial transactions

• Organisational invoices only: the invoice tool is for document generation and record-keeping.
• No payment processing: FiAmanila does not process invoice transactions or collect money from your clients. You must arrange client payments independently through your own banking or payment channels.

5. Subscriptions and fees

• Free tier: FiAmanila is free to start with no card required, subject to limits on the number of saved invoices, clients, bills, incomes and expenses.
• FiAmanila Pro: unlimited use is available on a paid subscription at the rates shown on our Pricing page. All payments are handled securely by Stripe.

6. Affiliate partnerships and insurance quotes

• The Platform provides access to insurance quotation services through a third-party partner.
• If you purchase a policy using our referral links, FiAmanila may receive an affiliate commission.
• This commission helps fund development, hosting and maintenance at no additional cost to you.
• We do not underwrite, manage or advise on these insurance policies. Always review third-party insurance products carefully before buying.

7. Optional features (Zakat purification)

The Zakat purification feature is an entirely optional utility for users who wish to track those calculations. It can be turned on or off in Settings at any time. FiAmanila is open, welcoming and fully functional for users of all faiths and backgrounds.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use FiAmanila to store other people's personal or financial data without authority, or for anything unlawful. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

9. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of anything important — you can export your data at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, FiAmanila shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential financial losses, penalties issued by HMRC, or data loss resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
