Welcome to FiAmanila. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our website and web application (the "Platform").

FiAmanila is built with a private-by-design philosophy: your records are yours, they are never sold, and access is tightly restricted by design.

1. Important information and who we are

FiAmanila is a registered sole trader business in the United Kingdom (referred to as "we", "us" or "our" in this policy). We are the data controller responsible for this Platform.

2. Information we collect

• Account and identity data: your name and email address.
• Financial data you enter: income records, expense records, bills, savings, invoices, clients, renewals and tax-planning information. If you enable it, this also includes Zakat purification data.
• Device information and usage analytics: IP address, browser type, device information, and anonymous platform usage counts such as app installs and sign-ups, tagged with a random identifier stored on your device. This is not a fingerprint and is never sold or shared.

3. Why we collect it

We only use your data when the law allows us to. Most commonly we process this information to:

• Provide and maintain the core FiAmanila services.
• Synchronise your data securely across your devices.
• Generate financial reports, tax estimates and invoice documents.
• Improve the features, speed and usability of the platform.
• Respond to your customer support requests.
• Prevent fraud and maintain the security of our systems.

4. Data security and technical framework

• Encryption in transit: all data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
• Encryption at rest: our managed cloud database encrypts stored data on disk.
• Row-level security: every table holding your records is protected by database policies that tie each row to your account, so one account can never read another account's data.
• Restricted access: administrative access to production systems is limited to authorised operators and is used only for support, security and maintenance. We do not browse your records, and we never sell them.

We do not currently use client-side (zero-knowledge) encryption keys, so we do not claim to be technically unable to read stored data — instead we restrict it by policy and by access control.

5. Third-party services we use

We do not sell your personal data. To operate the platform we share specific, limited data with vetted providers:

• Cloud database and authentication provider: secure hosting of your account and records.
• Stripe: secure payment and subscription processing. We never see or store your card details.
• Email delivery provider: sending account, verification and reminder emails from notify.fiamanila.com.

Anonymous install and usage counts are collected by FiAmanila itself and stored in our own database. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking analytics.

6. Your legal rights (UK GDPR)

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct: amend or correct inaccurate information.
• Delete: permanently delete your account and request erasure of your records.
• Export: download your data as PDF or CSV from the Export screen at any time.
• Object: object to processing or manage your preferences at any time.

7. Data retention and account deletion

We store your account details and records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal details and financial records are removed from our active databases immediately and from secure system backups within 30 days.
